Nov 02, 2009 16:47

Author: Me >w<

Pairing: Akame / ??/Kame (for now)

Rating: NC - 17

Genre: Romance, Humour, Action (Violence)

Disclaimer : The story is inspired from the drama Last Friends (just a little ) and part of a conversation I had with those pervy Kame addicts: P. The characters are not mine.

Summary: Everyone always tries to hide his true personality. When someone is vulnerable it’s better to wear a mask, to play and overplay, just to prove that everything is fine. This is an encounter between two souls, a man without real purpose and another one whose life is already mapped out.

A.N.: Some scenes may upset and shock you. Violence, rape /cough/ I apologize in advance. I hope you'll like it! Thx to the fabulous
gal_ps for translating this for me! *huggles*

Chapter 2

The farm Sumire is located in Sendai, near the Hirose-Gawa River, which is a symbol of one of the largest metropolis in Japan. Its size is as an average one, but still this farm is one of the largest ones in the city, providing multiple large businesses.

Although it was almost 11 o’clock, a young man continued his work with precision, plying the press in the haystack accumulated the previous day. The sun was biting his skin much earlier this summer and the young man wondered if it would worsen as the summer progressed. Passing a gloved hand on his forehead burning with sweat, he left a few small black marks, in addition to the ones that were already on his face. He had fine features and a mouth whose upper lip gave him a look as he was sulking. He wore sunglasses and everyone could see his mahogany hair shining with reflected rays of the sun. The machine stopped and the young man climbed off. He was so frail and thin that he almost floated into his huge blue overalls he wore with nothing underneath. His back and chest were dotted with purple and red marks, abrasions and scratches while his arms were white as cream. This striking contrast was quickly noticed by a man who came with rapid steps towards him, stopping just inches away. He was surprisingly smaller but seemed little more robust. He had light hair and a face of an angel, strange as it may seem. His expression was tense but the face was not contorted.

"Put a tee-shirt and stop crawling like that" said the voice, as its owner was looking him up and down before leaving.

The young man went with slow steps towards the house and searched for some light cloths, a tee-shirt, that will prevent him from suffocating under the oppressive heat. He was preparing to leave when he felt he was bumped against the door he had just closed, failing to open it again.

"Listen carefully, I’ve told you so many times to not leave the house like this. Have you seen yourself? Do you want the employees to see you look like someone beat the shit out of you? " nagged the same man who was outside a few moments earlier

"And whose fault is I’m in such a state now? ..." replied the young man with emotionless eyes

He released the young man immediately, who took the opportunity to go quickly and return to work. He stopped when the man spoke again.

"It's time for a break. You should be careful with this heat" he said in a tone more gentle and surprising.

"Since when do you have something to do or care?"

"Kazu .."

"I’ll return." threw it away briskly, before leaving.

The day had barely begun. The sun was at its peak. The farm was always very quiet and only the noise was coming from the machinery and animals that were living there. That day, getting up for Kazuya had been much more difficult than usual, and every step was torture, but he paid no attention to the pain he felt. Every day he felt his strength was leaving him a little by little, and left him empty, lifeless, like the cattle that were slaughtered every day and delivered to consumers more and more hungry. Kazuya felt like those animals, like someone that was killed each day, to gratify the desires of a man, the man who shared his life for nearly three years

The silence... The sound of the clock ticking in the kitchen. Jin didn’t move. He forced a smile on his face which seemed to show more his anxiety.

"Father...I know sometimes you’re a funny man, but seriously what are you expecting?" he said when he felt the sweat drops beading on his face.

"I just told you, tomorrow you go to a farm."

"Impossible ..." cried out Jin, who had not yet assimilated the information.

"Oh, yes, even more than possible" his father answered with a sadistic laugh.

"And the reason for my sudden departure is ..?"

"Jin, you soon will be 24 years old and you have never worked, even if only for a single day. NEVER. You will work there, and will live on your salary. It is time for you to learn a little of this kind of things. "

"And is it a good reason to be sent ... in a farm ..?!"

"Jin ..." tried his mother with a desperate tone.

"No, no way" Jin ... "that is, you knew too, but still said nothing. I'm not going. This time around I’m out of it."

He was about to get up when the voice of his father echoed through the room.

"If you do not intend to go there, get your bag right away." He said by sipping his coffee and opening the newspaper on the sports page.

"He said that?"? "asked a young boy sitting on the green grass of the Waseba University.

"Yes ... if I don’t go, I’ll be left on the street" said Jin

"With your mouth of an angel, you'd have customers .." added a third boy.

Jin turned quickly toward the voice.

"Shut up Ryo."

"This is so true to say" said the second

"Pi, don’t add a salt on the wound " Jin threw a glance at Yamashita Tomohisa, the third boy.

All 3 of them were lying on the lawn of their university, deliberately missing the last class of the day to hear the great news that Jin had to tell them.

"So, you're going to go?" Pi asked with a smile

"Perhaps, because do I have a choice?"

"You can always come at my place" said Ryo

"I can’t, if I do that, I’ll also put you in the deep shit. My father told your parents and if you shelter me... you'll be out too."

Jin lied down. He was more than troubled. He, in a farm ... He signed.

"Akanishi-sempai" said a small voice near them. Jin stood up to face the young boy who stood on the lawn beside him. He was rather small and had feminine features so that if anyone didn’t know better would have taken him for a young lady.

"Hi Yasu" Jin said with a smile, that was his secret weapon. Yasu blushed furiously and smiled before running away, proud of having managed to greet his preferred sempai. Ryo hissed.

"Well … you can count for a date out with Yasuda?"

"With the project from my father, there is no risk for it … who wants a farmer ..." Jin said, sulking.

"I admit that most of them are old, smelly, toothless and ugly ..., seriously good luck brother” whistled Ryo making fun of him.

Pi and Jin turned towards him.

"Shut up Ryo!!"

Pi continued.

"Jin, this may not be so bad, look, how long you gotta stay there?"

"Oyaji said" Until I decide to have you back "he said, imitating the voice of his father.

"Hard .." whispered his two friends as they looked each other.

"Thank you, I feel so supported."

"Where?" asked Ryo

"Sendai"

"Oh …"

The two others rose in unison.

"Well, the all we have left is to celebrate your departure"

"Who said I was leaving?!" exclaimed Jin, with round eyes.

"Ba, you don’t seem to have any choice, and also it is not the death."

"Yes prove them they are wrong, and that you can work in a farm ..." Pi had the word "firm" in a chuckle, which made Jin react.

"What makes you laugh?"

"Nothing, nothing ... good luck, that's all I have to tell you"

"Stop playing as you are pro in life in a farm, will you?"

Ryo came.

"For your information, FatJin, Pi and I spent our holidays on a farm, when we were younger. Do you remember when you refused to come at the time, because the mud was damaging the beautiful small cars?"

"So yes ... if you've spent your holiday there when you were doing nothing but lying in bed … I understand better this, as much for me." Jin adds with a sneer.

"Stunned, I hope they will knock some sense in your dumb head from this little trip."

"It is ..."

Jin stood up in turn and then followed his friends to celebrate his last night of freedom before a long time.

"Jin, my darling, it's time!" Hibari screamed the next morning a new.

Jin did not sleep all night. He feared too much from this little journey to close the eyes. His little evening before with his friends had gone well, and wondered when he would go next. At 24, Jin was still following orders from his father, with whom he lived. How had he come to here?

"Jin, you should still prepare your things." The shrill voice of his mother was heard again.

Yes, for his 24 years, Jin was not able to make his suitcase by himself. In retrospect, he was like an 8 year old child who goes to his first class trip. He sighed. Perhaps a little independence would do him good. Perhaps this event will open eyes. He got up and went directly into the bathroom after a brief shouting "I'm up mama."

He came down already dressed and took his suitcase from the closet at the back of his room. He looked at it. It was so simple, that room. White was the dominant color. Some pictures of him and his friends were hung, nothing more. The bed was covered with white linen. The furniture was white. So soothing. He looked one last time to his room and put his things in the suitcase. His mother arrived.

"Wait, Jin-darling, I'll help you"

"Forget it, I'll do it, thank you."

Hibari looked worried, and then left after giving him a brief hug. When he had finished he sat on his bed. It was time. His father had left a note for him that read "Gambatte, baka-musuko: P". Jin wondered which of them-two was the most idiotic on the spot, but smiled anyway. He took the suitcase and went down the stairs. Arriving in the kitchen he found his mother and Reio waiting for him to say goodbye.

“Jin, enjoy yourself" said the younger, patting him on the shoulder.

"Honey, be careful of agreement." said their mother, squeezing him for one last time in her arms.

"I'll try" replayed Jin in a tone that showed anything but joy.

Leaving the house, he could feel the sun burning his skin. Stopping in front of the taxi that would take him to the airport, he saw some dried leaves spent nearby his feet. Lying there for a few moments he saw them whirl and twirl, and then wondered if it was time for him to be like them, to take off.
