Ew! Scrimgeour in the water!
Finally got to break in our boogie boards today! And yes, I did catch a few waves :) But the sand between my torso and the board caused great pain and irritation. Boooooo. Must invest in a rashguard methinks! Or maybe drive up north more where the water isn't infested with floating green bubbles :( I called them Scrimgeour!
So I finished Harry Potter 7. I spent 4hrs reading the last 6 chapters this morning. There were a few moments were I couldn't stop myself from crying. I was sobbing like a baby w/a box of tissues by my side. But yeah, this book was amazing. Nothing literary has affected me this much!
• The 3 were pretty damn bitchy this year. What else is new?
• At first I was anti-Harry & Ginny, Dobby, and Kreacher. But I wanted Harry happy, I was SO sad Dobby died after doing such a noble thing, and I was happy Kreacher improved in behavior!
• LOVED Hermione FINALLY kissing Ron! Took'em long enough!
• I got SO confused about the Elder Wand, what the final Horcrux was [Harry or the snake or both?] but thanks to J.K.'s writing style, the confusion tends to go away a page or 2 later.
• BTW...I read about a month ago and article in NYTimes.com which featured 5 writers giving their take on the end of Harry Potter. One of them theorized that Harry was the final Horcrux. I was PISSED bc damnit that made perfect sense!!! Lo and behold he was right.
• The amount of deaths was just CRAZY! When the family gathered around Fred, Remus and Tonks I was BAWLING! I could not STAND it! AND just as Percy reunited w/them!!!
• Crying fit #2 occurred when Harry finally opened the Snitch and out came all the spirits of his loved ones. Damnit that always gets me!
Didn't disappoint me at all! Truly sad it's done.
Last night I went drinking w/some TJ's peeps. 90% of them were brand-spankin' new. It was weird. But we also got some Thai food and Ben was right - Napbob Thai carries THE best pad-see-ew EVERRRRR. I wish their beef was less tough, but OMG droolworthy! Wish I could take it to the City of Culver *sigh*
