He even lugs it along with him as he goes through the morning routine, treating the village at large to various sounds

Not every day, but it does happen a lot during the winter.

What'll happen once winter's over?

Then it'll go back to being warm again, and all the plants will grow back.

... you've never seen the seasons change before?

No, my village was underground. Sometimes the soil would get harder or there'd be more wet getting into places, but that's about all that changed.

Wait, you mean you'd never even seen the sun before you came here?

I got out of that village before I showed up here, but up until then it'd been nothing but dirt and ceilings. [ and one time before that, but that's a little more private. ]

I'm sorry... I can't even imagine living like that. It must've been a huge surprise to you when you arrived here...

But it's pretty nice, too. The village is a pretty place.

If it weren't for the Malnosso, I don't think I'd mind living here at all.
