Wheeee! I'm back at Uni and am wonderfully happy! So yay, let's all be happy for me because well, so far, it looks like second year's going to be even more awesome than the first...if that's possible! Eh...although the workload's a bitch...but hey, at least all the modules I'm doing are really interesting so I don't mind doing it! Haha get this, I decided to do a feminist subject - ME, a FEMINIST subject! It's "Gender and Indentity in the Middle East" - it cracks me up, like Í just sit there giggling in all my seminars so my lecturer thinks I'm a bit crazy but it's a fascinating subject, honestly. And my lecturer is this totally awesome Iraqi feminist lady who seriously knows her shit so we have some pretty interesting discussions. Anyway, been back at Uni for about 3 weeks now, but only got internet in the house today! Bloody Telewest! At least the guys who came round to set it up were kinda fit...tee hee. Hmm, let's see...in the last 3 weeks I have: been to a shocking number of housewarming parties, met a crapload of really cool people, spent 3 whole days living off nothing but Lemsip (Paracetamol galore!), been in numerous playfights (I live with 5 guys...who will apparently NEVER forget how ticklish I am) - I now have several hundred "manhandle bruises" up and down my arms though, been told I was beautiful by hot strangers, been questioned by the police as part of a murder investigation (a guy got murdered in the laundrette accross the road from our casa - how exciting!), become the proud owner of my very own kickboxing gloves and wraps, spent an entire day talking in a german accent, fallen in love with The Bowling Green - the pub accross the road, which is literally so close it's practically an attachment of the house, fallen in love with Dylan - the manager of The Bowling Green, and...well...I can't think of anything else but I'm sure there's been more! Anyway, I should go now because I've got to be up at 5 in the morning because I'm off to an army base for a training day to go SKYDIVING!!! Yes, that's right, the girl who's so afraid of heights she can't stand on a stool...is...going...skydiving. Oh. Lord. x
