[ a few days of listening - of watching - is the absolute limit of what Kamina will stand. people are scared, people are getting hurt, and he's not going to just stand by and let that happen, no matter how many times people tell him "That's just how it is here."

I have to say... I'm glad someone still has high spirits despite these past few days.

That's a good way of looking at it. [Good word, is all this exuberance familiar. She can't help a small smile.] I'm Litchi. It's a pleasure to meet you.

As for the invitation, I... I'm not sure. It's a bit of a walk through the fog, I'm afraid.

Litchi. [ hmmmmmms for a second, and then: ] That's a pretty name. I like it!

[Simon is most definitely with him, because chances are if he wasn't, he'd have been dragged up there anyway :| So despite his misgivings about being outside in the horrid atmosphere the village has got going on, he's sitting cross-legged by the fire... at a safe distance, quietly roasting a marshmallow on a stick. Boota is huddled in his lap, fidgeting and looking nervous.]

[ oh yes. most definitely. besides! someone had to help him carry all those pillows up there.

his message given, Kamina hops down from the edge of the roof and trots over to Simon. he's not surprised to see him hunkered down, trying to look smaller as a defense against all the dark things just beyond the fire's light.

have a flame-patterned cape draped over your shoulders, Simon. Kamina brought it with him. ] How's it coming? Ready to eat yet?

Since you helped out so much you get to try the first bite.

[Simon eyes the marshmallow dubiously. They're not exactly huge - either of them could probably polish it off in one bite - but he nods. He's concentrating more on not setting the thing on fire rather than how big it'll be. He does glance back and offer up a grateful smile though. Kamina's cape is probably more of a comfort than anything else.]

Kamina can show him how later. ] Me neither, I had to look it up.

just don't tell anyone. he drops down to sit beside him; he knows he's probably going to be busy tonight, so he's going to spend every spare second with Simon. ] But it sure smells good!

[She didn't like walking around in the fog, but the sun was just setting and the fog wasn't so thick yet...]

Course we do! We've got plenty of space, but bring food and blankets for everybody.

[ think...think... ] Oh, wood if you got it! So we can keep the fire going all night.

Community building seven! We're up top.

Just be sure to bring a grown-up with you, and lots of stuff to use while camping!

[On one hand, it means going outside in the dark. On the other hand, there's company, so he won't be alone up there.
