"Yes we can to justice and equality.
Yes we can to opportunity and prosperity.
Yes we can heal this nation.
Yes we can repair this world.

Yes we can.

We know the battle ahead will be long, but always remember that no matter what obstacles stand in our way, nothing can stand in the way of the power of millions of voices calling for change.

We have been told we cannot do this by a chorus of cynics. They will only grow louder and more dissonant. We've been asked to pause for a reality check. We've been warned against offering the people of this nation false hope.

But in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false about hope."  -Barack Obama

A person that can make me feel proud to be an American
in a time when I'm not even sure I'm proud of the person I am
and I'm not proud of the town I live in nor the school I go to
is the only kind of person I want to lead me

A person that can make me feel hope for the future
A person that can make me want to be a better person and a leader
A person that could inspire me in one day as much as this man has
Is the only kind of person that I'd trust and support with my vote to run the country

It starts with
a human
Not the politicians and the politics I've been sorrounded by my whole life
Not the storm of lies and indecency
Just a man who cares
Just a person who loves
A person I'd like to see lead us into a new chapter
A chapter worth reading about in an American History textbook

All I'm saying is that I can't believe that I care about the election at all
and that this is the kind of trust that we've heard about
The kind of man who's fireside chats would resound in our homes and hearts
A kind of person who, in our lives, we haven't seen in the oval office

Cool.
