Gathering in the friends and neighbors who needed shelter found during her patrols for more supplies had been most of what happened the first day. Then the cannibals arrived. The group in the basement survived the cannibals by keeping watch, in shifts. ]
[ Ilsa knows what the burns on the cannibal hordes mean. It's not that hard to tell, especially when her nausea and vomiting was not induced by the horrors she'd seen on patrol. Her hair started falling out this morning. ]
[ Even her extensive med kit, when it was whole, didn't have Prussian Blue or potassium iodide. But she has to keep going, to protect the ones that survive. ]
