Wellll. There're Immortals. They used to go around cutting each others' heads off, until they all mostly agreed that was a bad habit. Then they all decided to champion a different facet of human knowledge, etcetera, etcetera. So you have creepy old men living in abandoned greenhouses with expert knowledge on bugs, and creepy old men living in abandoned monasteries with expert knowledge on history, and judo, and medicine, and nuclear power and all kinds of crazy things.
Wow, really? That sounds pretty awesome! Are they available for public or somethin', or do they just counsel certain people, or are they like, some kinda hermits?
Though-- haha, I can see where cutting each other's heads off errs on the side'a rude. Is that the only way they die? Sounds like somethin' outta stories.
argh late tag is late, sorry ;-;bellsandleatherAugust 28 2008, 23:37:57 UTC
As far as I know, they only pass on their knowledge to each other. Elitists.
Yep--I mean, to me, 'immortal' is a silly word when something can kill you, even when it's something specific. But I'm not going to quibble over names. And it does sound like a story, doesn't it? I wouldn't believe it myself, but I used to work for one of them.
If you say so... You must be really bored, huh? Tell me something about your world, too? Fair's fair, right?
<333! Thank yoooou. And..wow, I see. O_o Popular question session! >3bellsandleatherAugust 29 2008, 04:43:06 UTC
That's a good question. I always thought it was pretty selfish, too.
So you don't have any friends or hobbies? Hey, we'll make that your question. What sorta stuff do you like doing? Besides digging for information, of course~
CFUD!Rabi makes tiny posts and gets like 700 comments, thought I'd try the same approach XDoodzuchiAugust 29 2008, 13:56:20 UTC
Oh, no, I have friends! Hahaha. I room with two of 'um, a guy and a girl, and I live in the same building as some others. It's just too hot 'ta go out.
What sorta stuff I like to do, huh? Hmmm... Well, I really love learning about different cultures, reading, I like 'ta dabble in cooking, napping in the sun... Nothin' too out of the ordinary. Oh! I like traveling too, kinda comes with the job.

Haha, sometimes it is, especially during some'a the curses. Summer's my favorite time of the year though! At least... when it's not so hot out.
People can't read? Where do you come from, then? I've been to some countries where people don't readily have books an' stuff, but is it that common for you?
Sure! Company's always nice-- I usually make asian food though, for my roommate. He's Japanese. I make a lotta other stuff too for the other roommate though, since she hasn't had a lot of regular food. I guess I can cook whatever you feel like!
Oh, I agree. At least when they're not making it snow around here.
Well, it's not so much where as it is when. The twenty-seventh century, actually. It seems like a lot of City-people are literate, though!
Oooh. I've never had anything like that. I'm always willing to try new things. Your roommates aren't - monsters, or anything? No offense, but around here I've always got to ask.
That was kinda fun though! Havin' a day of weather ya normally wouldn't have for another half'a year is kinda nice. We got 'ta have snowball fights and cool down!
Twenty... seventh? Wow! So that's... about eight hundred years later! Why are people so illiterate in the future then? Things could've only improved...
Hahahaha! No way! Though Yuu-chan's temper is pretty bad-- And Ariel's a mermaid, after all... Yuu-chan's a bit mean, but they're both normal people!

People around here are freaky with a capital F. I guess I could answer a few questions, but you'll have to narrow it down.

How about... powers! Does your world have any sorta powers?

It does seem kinda weird that they're immortal but... not? It really does!
Haha, I am. There's only so much you can do by yourself here. And sure! Fair's fair; what do you wanna know?

Reading? Lucky. Not many people where I come from can read--or have books, either.
You cook, too, huh? Can I come over sometime for a demonstration?
