Why do we tend to think that things are much better on the other side of the river rather than appreciating what we have on our side? Most of the times, we would consider things that come from abroad are the best, without noticing that here, at our very own place have very very good things and same qualities too. Are we being stereotype or have overlooked the good things that are readily available at our feet/grasp?
For example, why would people spend thousands of dollars to buy imported furnitures rather than only a few hundreds in our local furniture stores, even though the quality are more or less the same. Why do we buy overpriced brands that are of cheap qualities, but not local brands that are exceptionally good? Why do we think that guys in other countries are cuter than what we have here locally? Why do we think that there are more cute guys abroad, although there are plenties of cuties here? Are we all being a sucker for imported/abroad things?
