Madrid

I've been in Madrid for the past two days and tomorrow will be my flight back to Milan. I see some similarity between Madrid and Milan because there's not much sight-seeing places here, but just shopping centres. And of course I indulged myself with all these shopping, buying those that I cannot get in Milan.

Madrid is somehow very different from Barcelona. Here is more of a commercial centre, centre of business just like Milan. But Barcelona is more of a tourism place with lots of varieties, vibrant colors, similar to Rome. ^_^ However, community in Madrid is much more open minded than other cities in Spain. There's many many sex shops along the main streets and prostitutes are all "showcasing" themselves even under the broad daylight. Here in Madrid, there's a place called Chueca (Metro stop - Chueca), where it is the heart/meeting point of "Happy" peoples. Almost all the shops, restaurants, bars, discos, saunas, etc are catered for these specific group of people. One of the worth mentioning restaurant is La Dame Noire, which is located in Perez Galdos, Chueca. This restaurant has a very nice ambience and is tastefully decorated. Although the price of the food here are slightly on the high side, but it is so worth it because each meal is wonderfully done. I couldn't stop myself from eating and eating. Keke... :-P

After a heavy dinner just now, I went for a stroll around this area Chueca. Most Spanish had their dinner very late, as in 9pm onwards. And they stayed up till very late in the night, almost until 2am. So they only sleep for very few hours each day. This is a unique trait/habit in most Spanish here. They like to hang out at bars and cafes to chit chat with friends and to get to know new people. As I was walking along one of the streets, I saw someone which caught my eyes, walking on the opposite direction, on the same side of the street. We crossed path and this person looked back as I tilt my head to have a glance. :-P Well, as a shy/unexperience person, I did nothing even though this person stopped, smiled and looked at me a few times. *blush blush* LOL... *^_^* Sigh... I should have said "Hola" and get to know a friend in Madrid. :-P

Well, this coming weekend, I'll have 4 days long holiday because its a public holiday in Milan. So far, I don't have any plans for holiday yet. Don't know where should I go? Any suggestions ar? Keke... Would like to visit Paris/London though. Let's see if I'm able to purchase some cheap air ticket and accommodation. :-P
