i'm wearing sunnies indoors whilst typing this up thanks to my migrane (second day in a row, or is it third?)
uni has been going okay so far. there's a lot of 'reading exercises' and diaries for this semester, but hey. TWO TO GO.
this is the first day im not gonna be able to make it down there thanks to sickness. and really, i guess im not crazy sick like i get, but i'm on that edge. it's like the day before my body goes haywire so maybe if i go slow, and don't move at all for the day i should be able to make philosophy of religion tomorrow.
there is a lot of philosophy this semester. enough to make me do ontological arguments in my head all day without realising it. even through ancient it's all 'define ethnicity' what is the essence of ethnicity? what necessary conditions can we use to define it to be able to discuss the right topic etc. it's getting annoying. i am becoming a philosophy nerd.
luckily i don't have the memory capacity to ever really make the cut. how do people remember the specifics of every person's theory i have no idea. i can only ususally remember pieces of descartes coz we do him every semester (seriously macquarie, just make a course on him if you have such a boner for him) and bits of sartre coz i've done a year of study on him. and even then, you'd think after a year i'd remember more than just 'other people are hell.'

i need to get a new computer soon because serenity's swan song is coming to an end. she hates to run any program that isn't itunes or microsoft word, and sometimes she hates on firefox. well, she's done me good these past few years. a lot better than any toshiba i've ever had, but that's hp for you. if i get another pc i think it'll defs be a hp - not just because it looks like harry potter.
at the mo though, the mini mac is winning. just because it has an okayish graphics card, is small so i can take it from house to house and i won't ever have to worry about subscription to norton again. sure it has no disc drive but apparantly you can hijack with it so that will work. plus i can use my creative suit wherever then. i am just gonna be nabbing monitors everywhere.
the other part of me knows i am mostly just gonna be gaming so maybe i should just get a decent hp laptop and go with that. stick with what you know. but previous experience has taught me that overheating is a serious problem with laptops suped up for gaming.
i dunno, i guess this is really a non-issue and i just need to make a decision.
