I'm still around, despite my being quiet. I've still been working far too much.
I've finished the Botany of Desire, which I was forced to run out to Powell's and purchase, as my online book purchases were taking far too long to arrive. They've finally gotten here, giving me another round of biology, as well as some Scottish history to dig in to ( Read more... )

I don't know that I have his IM these days. Does he have book recommendations? It hit me a few weeks ago that I knew more English history than I did Scottish or Irish, and the only Scottish history that I knew was that which directly related to my family.

Per Rab: Nora Chadwick writes a lot of books on Celtic History. Nigel Tranter was a Scottish Nationalist who wrote a lot of historical fiction.
