Fishy dead :(

My fishy died this morning. And i feel really really bad about it. The worst part is, it wasn't like i woke up and he was floating or anything. He got caught under the filter last night, and it tore up his fins and scales... I'm kinda surprised he was still alive when we found him. He was able to eat, and I moved him to the little bowl for the night so he could get to the food better and not get hurt again... but he was dead by the time I woke up. I kinda feel like it was my fault, even though it wasn't. I stayed up real late last night to try and find something online that i could help him with, but i only found 2 things of any help, and i couldn't have done either of them untill today. It was my favorite fishy too.
