Nano & assorted ramblings
So I'm messing with firefox, since Jason apparently lost the RAM for his comp (as opposed to the one that belonged to the Company of Doom), and IE drives him nuts. I thought lj was getting all wonky on it, but apparently someone's html fucked up my friends page instead. Hopefully that entry scrolls off soon. (And apparently this thing has a built in spell checker that underlines crap it thinks is misspelled in red. You'd think firefox would know firefox is a word. :P)
So anyway, got a whole 300-odd words written last night, due to starting at after midnight. So far I've discovered one of my chars is a sex fiend (big surprise there :P), and met Beaulah, who's not 80. Now if only I knew why she showed up on sex fiend's doorstep at 5am. I'm gonna get a lot of mileage out of ppl going "wtf kinda name is Beaulah???" though. Ah, the perils of using a name generator to name everyone in the story. :P
In other news, had a pretty good birthday, which was why I didn't get nano started until so late. Didn't end up going to the meetup thingy, since there was much drinking of booze there and I hate being sober in a room full of drunk ppl. Instead I sat around playing video games & eating too much cake. Jason got me not 1 but 2 cakes, both German chocolate. The lady wrote on them with frosting right in front of me. Still waiting for whatever my mom sent me to get here, but she found a hilarious e-card. Overall not much happened yesterday, but I enjoyed it anyway.
Oh, and had a dream last night that my mom got pregnant. By her evil ex, who's actually dead now. I'm not living with her anymore, she hasn't been with the guy for years, he's freaking DEAD, and I STILL dream about her getting back with him. Talk about annoying.
Anyone wanna take bets on how long we'll be able to share a comp before we go insane? :P
