to support or not?

Saw some crowntail bettas and regular bettas along with some interesting community fishes to add in the near future like cherry barbs, otocincluses, & guppies. Question is..should I support the corporate pet stores of Petsmart (Petco, Meijer, etc) that has great prices on all of these bettas and fishes -OR- support the small business pet stores (Fish Doctors, Greenwood Pets & Plants) even though their prices for bettas are higher and their selection of freshwater fishes are limited? A tough one to figure out this Easter weekend!
