i just want to share this to everyone, 'cause i'm getting thrilled and giddy just by knowing there would be a Hana Kimi drama SP!!! waaaaaaaa! i miss watching Nakatsu, Nanba-sempai!!! and Mizuki, and Sano... and,.. and Sekime, and the cute Yuujiro!!! i always like hana kimi! so i'm looking forward to watch the drama Special..

Homaki (Horikita Maki) returns to short hair and boy’ s clothing! Fuji "Hanazakari -" SP
It was announced on the 18th that Fuji’s drama “Hanazakari no Komitachi e ~Ikemen ♂ Paradise~ will air a drama Special. Female fans have never lost their interest in ‘Ikemen’ and the official HP reports over 376,000,000 total hits. Ikuta Toma (23), an Ikemen castmember, urges, “Please join us for our Ikemen festival.”
In response to all the fan girls all over Japan, the Ikemen are coming back.
“Hanazakari-“ is a school drama that focuses on friendship and love. Horikita Maki is Ashiya Mizuki, a student who hides the fact that she is a woman, who is admitted into an all boy’s school where the high-jumper Sano Izumi (Oguri Shun) and Nakatsu Shuichi (Ikuta) both fall in love with her.
Horikita, taking on the challenge of a male character complete with short hair and boys’ clothing for the first time, Oguri Shun, and the rest of the young Ikemen selected became wildly popular. The average program rating was 17.3% and it set a record of 21% during the last part of the 2-hour special. The program caused and Ikemen frenzy in Japan. According to Fuji, this special episode will take place half a year after everyone found out that Mizuki was a woman and she’d left Osaku Gakuen. It’s just before Valentine’s Day at school, and they’re all excited about the upcoming events. At the same time, Sano and Nakatsu reminisce about the last week of their summer vacation.
Actually, this last week is key. It occurs between ep7 (the one about the summer training camp) and ep8 (the one that takes place just after the beginning of the second semester.) It wasn’t part of the original story in the drama. The producer Moriyasu Aya said, “I hope that everyone feels that it’s essential for an Ikemen not only to be good-looking but to have a heart that’s filled with pride for their friends and respect for themselves.” Horikita cut her hair again, stating, “I’m not worried anymore about whether I can create Mizuki’s tension again.” She adds with great enthusiasm, “I’ll do my best to give a powerful performance as Mizuki once again.”
Moreover, his popularity sealed by the show, Oguri commented, “I want to suggest more ideas that I wasn’t able to incorporate into the TV series, and I want to try to be a high school student again.” Shooting will begin on the 19th.

“Hanazakari-‘s” official HP set a record for Fuji TV station’s No1 HP for 13 weeks running from June 25th to Sept 23rd. It easily broke the previous record of 4 weeks at No1 by “Nodame Cantabile.” In last year’s annual access ranking, “Hanazakari-“ was 2nd place (1st place was Ainori.) In January and February, their first and second DVDs were released by Pony Canyon and they’ve sold about 80,000 copies (as of March 14th.)
