I was digging through some old files again today, but more on that later.
There are two computer games that I loved love, Escape Velocity and Escape Velocity: Override. While fun by themselves, they were made to allow use of plug-ins which could add ships/planets/missions/etc or even convert the galaxy you play in into a completely different setting. The best part is anyone with the right editors and a bit of knowhow can make their own plug-ins. At various times this had me dreaming of creating a few of my own.
Skipping back to today, I found many new ships I worked stats up for and notes on new planets/governments/and so on for a plug that I never got around to actually making. Minutes later I starting tinkering with them again. Even if it never gets made, it's fun to flesh out ideas for. Wonder why I ever stopped…
