GREAT NEWS, Kim!! I spoke to someone in Financial Aid at the Alexandria campus, and she looked into your situation. She got back to me today to say that you should definitely W with mitigating circumstances. She says they look at your whole picture, not just one course, and that the W will not stop you from getting financial aid in the future, and that the chances are good you will not have to pay back the tuition for this course - you may have to pay back some part of it. There are two critical points:
You must fill out and submit the W with mitigating circumstances form BEFORE your end of enrollment date of 5/12/08.
If you wish to take courses with financial aid this summer, you must fill out the Student Financial Aid Summer 08 form ASAP.
You are a good student and this shows in your records, and your life got tough and French just wasn’t in the cards for you now, don’t let that reflect badly against you, you can and will succeed!
