Second Adventure!

Oh, wow!  Halloween!

I don't think I ever celebrated this holiday very much back home since it was an American holiday, but I always thought the idea was great!  Costumes and candy!  But I don't need my mommy to tell me not to eat it all; I'm a big boy!  I know I'll get a stomachache.  So I've divided it all up into 8 different piles, one for each ( Read more... )

Yeah, Halloween's a pretty cool holiday, isn't it? I don't remember celebrating it a lot, but I always liked trick-or-treating.

[ooc; Jaime here's a steampunk mechanic. o/ I'm thinking he's dressed like Max from Dark Cloud 2, but any interpretation's cool.]

Oh! I forgot about that -- That's when you go around and knock on doors and get even more candy, right? And only on Halloween. I wonder why the whole world doesn't celebrate it. It's the best holiday ever!

Oh, hmm? What are you supposed to be, Mister?

He's a meganick! He fixes things. Right?

That's right! Kids do it all the time where I'm from, I believe. I think you stop trick-or-treating when you hit high school, and while it's kinda lame... it's a fact of life too.

And yeah, I'm supposed to be a mechanic. You two are angels, right?

No way! I'm gonna keep on trick-o-treatin' until I'm . . . super old! Like 30! And my costume will be . . .

Patamon!

Yeah! I'll dress up as Patamon! Then no one'd be able to tell I was 30. and that's right, we're angels! We'll bring peace and happiness -- But only if you pay. Miss Tear said that we would need money if we wanted to buy anything here and we're not old enough to work . . .

Oy. As long as I'm here, you don't have to worry about money, alright?

I don't know if you have any siblings, but until they get here - or you remember them - I wouldn't mind looking out for you guys at all since I'm old enough to work and everything.

So... I'm guessing the orange... um, whatever you are is Patamon, but what's your name, kid?

Huh? . . . S-Siblings . . . ?

R-Really?! Wow! Thanks, mister! That's . . . That's a really nice thing to say

,See Takeru? You didn't have to worry about being lonely here. Look at all the friends we've made already!

N-no, it's just because everyone here's really, really nice! I bet you're all a lot nicer than people at home. I want to help you, too, mister -- I don't have any of my candy with me, but you can have as much as you like when I get back to my room! And yep, that's Patamon, and my name's Takeru! Patamon's an orange pig.

Digimon. Patamon's an orange Digimon.

The name's Jaime. And I really don't mind doing it. It's not like I really want to buy anything with my money, you know?

Heh, the offer's sweet, but you don't have to give me any candy. I think you should probably save it for the trick-or-treaters.

... Digimon, riiiight. I would've never guessed that. Either way, it's good to meet you.

Oh! That's a good point, Mr. Jaime. Then I'll just have to think of some other way to help you out, too. It wouldn't be fair otherwise. But, you know, it's really weird -- I didn't see any other kids my age before this week started.

It's probably just part of the event . . . Have you heard of Digimon before, Mr. Jaime? It doesn't seem like anyone else has.

I'm sure we can come up with something later. But now that you mention it... yeah, I haven't seen little kids around here either. The natives here don't really seem to like us amnesiacs, but maybe the free candy lures them here more than their dislike towards us?

I'm sorry, Patamon, but I haven't heard of Digimon either.

Huh? . . . I didn't know there were people here who still remembered stuff. So that's where they must've come from . . . I guess they usually don't like talking to us. . . . That's kinda sad.

Hm. Figures. Looks like only us Digimon know about ourselves. And I'm not even sure what we're all supposed to have in common.

... I'm sorry I mentioned it, kiddo. I don't really know much about the people who aren't from other worlds, but they don't seem bad.

Maybe you'll remember it some day, Patamon. Everyone here's supposed to get all their memories back eventually.

I-It's not your fault, Mr. Jaime! If they don't want to talk to us, then they're the ones who're missing out. Right?

Right! I bet once we finish with this costume stuff, we'll get a ton of memories back!
