. . . H-huh? Umm. I . . . I think I’m lost. Ahh, ahh. I . . . I don’t think I remember what you’re supposed to do when you’re lost. Do you?
M-Me? Umm. Uhh . . . Oh! Isn't there a saying that goes like this? Moss grows on the side of the tree with bark, so . . . so you follow it and . . . you end up finding, umm . . . more trees! Right?
Huh

[Also, it's not one cute thing, but two. And you thought she'd ignore them? No. Not by a long shot. Tear approaches the two at a brisk pace - not quite running, but certainly not procrastinating either. She pauses when she's a few feet away, slowing, then coming to a stop in front of them, leaning forward with her hands on her knees so that she can get a better view of these 'children'.]
I thought I heard someone crying and it seems I was correct. It's a good thing I found you.
So then, are you two all right? Are you injured anywhere?

N-No! We're lost a-and we don't remember anything so we probably hit our heads a-a-and I'm looking for someone or something and it's very . . . very i-i-important!

Calm down, both of you. Crying won't help you in this situation.
[Well that was a little harsh. Tear fell silent for a second, trying to reevaluate the situation and what she should do. She wasn't exactly good at comforting children. Rather, she was pretty to-the-point and blunt.]
Listen... You're on an island called "Memento Eden". Everyone who arrives here does so in the same way you did - lost and without being able to remember anything but their names.
You remember your name, right?

[Takeru reluctantly dries off his eyes although his shoulders still heave every once in a while. Patamon flutters over and perches on top of his head as he sniffs.]
Umm . . . Yes. M-My name's Takeru, and that's . . . that's Patamon.

Don't worry. There are lots of people here who will be willing to help you in whatever way they can. It's possible that you'll even find the person or object that you've lost.
Takeru and Patamon.
Right. I'm Locrian Sergeant Tear Grants, Oracle Knights Intelligence Division, First Platoon.
Please call me "Tear".

Um. That's a really long name. . . . 'Tear' like in what happens when you cry? S-So Miss Tear . . . why did we come here?

I'm not certain I know the reason why. This place...
[Pauses to try to explain this as simply as possible.]
This place is different. No one is able to remember anything at first. From time to time weird things occur, and afterwards, people start to remember what they've forgotten. There's an apartment building with lots of rooms - there should be one for both of you. There's also a cafeteria where you can eat your meals for free, but everything else requires money...
[Looks down at them, wondering if child labor laws apply here.]

Don't worry, Takeru! You'll remember soon enough.
Yeah . . .
Um. Actually, I'm kind of hungry. You said something about a cafeteria?
Oh! Me, too!
Reply
Uh-huh! ♥ [Tear nodded her head in agreement.] I'm sure you'll start remembering things in no time at all.
Eh... Oh! Yes. [Recovers.] If you're hungry, I'd be happy to take both of you to the cafeteria for something to eat.

~ Yay food ~ yay food ~ i love food ~
[Takeru joins in the song and marches along ahead as Patamon flops onto his head and bobs. Cuteness Points +10!]

You're very welcome! ♥ You would have been assigned a room by now as well. If you visit the tall apartment building, you should be able to obtain a key to that room.
