I want to keep her picture in my blog. She despised any form of tyranny, and fought relentlessly against it with a rifle, with her fierce voice and with her pen, ever since she was a kid in the Italian resistance. Her wit and ferocity in dealing with power is probably what is most known about her. Kissinger said that his meeting with her was the single most disastrous encounter with a member of the press of his life. And during her interview with Khomeini she called him a tyrant and laid bare her face and head from the veil she was supposed to wear. She is reported to have said: ”being courageous is not the same as being fearless, being courageous means to act despite fear”.
