More political wonders

Apparently the GOP spent $150,000 on a new wardrobe for Sarah Palin after she became the VP nominee. I hate to think of what poor taste she must have had to be elected governor and address the Alaskan House. Just rags, I'm sure! One hundred and fifty THOUSAND dollars. For that amount, I could fill a house with clothes, not just a closet. Even if each outfit cost an outrageous $500, that would be 300 outfits. Which is about 4 outfits per day for each day she'll have been on the campaign. (For the record, no I've never shopped for woman's clothes, but a custom tailored man's suit costs about $1000- but even executives have maybe 10 of those.)

What's more, they say that's not a waste because they'll be donated to charity after the election.

And what if, by whatever slim chance, she's elected?

Then, in January, they'll have to equip her with a VP wardrobe. Using the logic they did for the nomination, that would be 4 years x 365 days/year x 4 outfits/day x $500/outfit = a mere 3 million dollars on clothes.

What a waste.
