A/N: I’m sorry this took so long to update. I’ve been so tired and busy with my new job. I hope this is ok; I’m so exhausted.
“So, you are Joong Ki,”
The five companions shuffled their feet nervously as The Wolfman stood before him, his zombie protectors by his side.
The Invisible Man outstretched his hand first; he had become the self-proclaimed leader of the group, a role that the others had no problems with. T.O.P. was charming and debonair. He knew the others were nervous about having a lycanthrope on board the train, so he took the initiative and welcomed their new companion. Joong Ki’s smile and deep bow broke the tension. How could such a handsome and polite young man be a threat?
The zombies were still a puzzle. Why did he need bodyguards, and of all things, why were they zombies?
T.O.P decided it wasn’t a good thing to ask at the moment. He escorted Joong Ki on board their train; the other companions reluctantly making introductions; Kiseop nervously eyeing the zombies as they trailed after their master.
As T.O.P. lead the wolfman to his private compartment, Kiseop headed to the dining card and poured himself a drink.
Leo put a gentle, reassuring hand on the immortal’s shoulder.
“Don’t worry,” he whispered, “I’m sure there’s a perfectly good reason for the zombies to be with him.”
Kiseop raised an eyebrow.
“Really?”
The Phantom laughed beneath his mask.
“They creep me out too,” Shindong spoke out loud. “What if they try and eat us in the middle of the night?”
“No one is eating anyone,” T.O.P.’s deep voice exclaimed as he entered the dining car.
“The zombies were given to Joong Ki by an African witch doctor to keep him from going on a killing spree. It’s a powerful spell. They are already dead and therefore can’t be turned. They balance each other. Quite clever, you see. He’s a pleasant enough fellow. I feel sorry for him. It must be a dreadful experience.”
Kiseop downed his drink.
“What next?” he asked his companions.
T.O.P. lit a cigar and stretched out in a comfy chair.
“Budapest,” he replied.
They looked at each other with fear in their eyes; Shindong nervously turning to Kwon Ji Yong for guidance.
“Don’t worry, my friends,” he said casually. “We are all in this together. I’m sure our vampire friend will be just as civil as we are. Remember, we are all gentleman despite what society has deemed us to be; monsters; criminals; creatures of the night. Despite our differences, we are brothers in arms. Together with the help of Dr. Shim, we will be a force to be reckoned with.”
As the train puffed along it’s way, Song Joong Ki looked out his window and stared at the setting sun. There would be a full moon tonight.
Shit,” he mumbled under his breath as he locked himself in his compartment.
“It’s going to be a rough night boys,” he told Jaz and Mosi. “I hope this magic truly works.”
He undressed himself and crawled under the covers, the zombies watching; standing vigil as the full moon rose…
“Ah, Budapest, how I’ve missed you.”
The vampire Kim Heechul breathed in deep. The night air was thick; scents of every kind floated upon the breeze. The vampire would feed well this night.
The elegant Nosferatu donned his hat and gloves. He stepped off his private train; walking stick in hand; senses heightened by his immortal powers. He had almost forgotten what it was like to walk the city streets; the nightlife; the gaslight and music; the merriment and excitement; the blood...
“I’m off for a quick bite,” he told his loyal gypsies. “Our new friends will be arriving within a few hours. Make sure everything is ready.”
They bowed to the count as he disappeared into the fog; despite being the servant of an undead creature they crossed themselves and prayed for the souls of his victims.
Kim Heechul cracked a wicked smile…
Three men stood nervously facing each other. Shim Changmin slowly approached his latest creation; the creature backing away in terror; body trembling, it nearly tripped over the slab from whence he was reborn.
“It’s alright, Jaejoong,” the mad scientist spoke; his voice soft and low.
“You’re with friends.”
Jaejoong’s hands grasped the edges of the slab, his head darting back and forth between the man who spoke and the other who stood silently by his side.
“I am Changmin, and this is Yunho.”
The newly risen creature turned to Yunho who smiled nervously.
“Friend?” Jaejoong stuttered.
Yunho nodded.
Unsteady on his feet, Jaejoong staggered towards Yunho. His fingers reached out and touched the scars on the other man’s face; eyes fluttered and closed as he passed out; Yunho’s strong arms scooping him up.
“Take care of him Yunho,” Dr. Shim ordered. “He’s your responsibility now.”
Frankenstein’s monster looked at the creature before him and sighed.
“Beautiful,” he whispered; “Jaejoong is beautiful. Jaejoong is mine.”
Shim Changmin smiled as Yunho carried Jaejoong up to his room.
He truly had created a monster…
“What do you mean he’s gone?”
Zico and his boys stood nervously in front of Professor Han Geng.
The Reverend Choi paced nervously across the floor of the mummy’s palace.
“I was the last to see him,” he told Geng. “He seemed very sad; melancholy. I hope he didn’t do anything rash.”
All eyes turned to the pond.
“Oh no,” Geng exhaled as everyone stood in fear.
The thought that the Prince could have taken his life was in everyone’s mind.
Just then, the waters of the lagoon began to bubble.
Weapons were drawn as the frothy water parted revealing a scaly creature with gills, webbed hands and fish like eyes. Within his arms was the naked, shivering body of Prince Yoochun.
“Stay your weapons,” he commanded them. “This is no foe, but my long lost lover Junsu, who, like me, has waited the centuries to be brought back from the dead.”
They stood in awe as the creature transformed; scales and fins disappearing; gills and webbed hands and feet becoming human appendages.
“It’s true,” Geng exclaimed; “the Creature from the Black Lagoon is real.”
The Block B gang lowered their weapons as The Prince and the Creature walked upon the shore. Junsu extended his hand, and Professor Geng eagerly took it.
Reverend Choi crossed himself and mumbled under his breath.
“I’ll be damned…”
