I am not accustomed to having my plans inconvenienced.  I had intended to be in Luxor by this evening.  This does not appear to be Luxor.  Or indeed, any part of Egypt I am famliar with.  It seems clear that I will simply have to make the best of things.

I wish to speak to whoever considers themselves in charge of this dismal community immediately.
