my external hard drive with all of this important, not yet backed up shit is not working. It spins up, it's detected in System Profiler and Disk Utility, but there's no icon so that I can access it anywhere on the comp. It gives me a improper detachment warning thing when I pull the USB cable. I've tried different USB cables, tried it on someone else's comp, and verified it in Disk Utility, which says it "appears to be OK". Any body got ideas on what I could do to make this thing work again? Problem situation.
