happy new year to everybody! i'm excited about 2006, god knows why since it includes me turning 20 and starting junior year. but yeah for some reason i'm really looking forward to it. let's hope it's a good one
so i'm back at home after what seemed like a crazy long vacation whereas it was actually only about a week. we did travel a lot though. christmas was spent in new jersey with my family and a bunch of extended family. i got money which is awesome and the party was fun although stupid me drank with the guy cousins (including ryan, and you know what a bad influence he is), had drinks that should not be mixed, and was severly sick on christmas eve and day. i love how my worst hangover ever occurred on a religious holiday. i'm a good person
after that we left for canada for a few days. we were supposed to go to montreal but since we booked so late we just ended up going to quebec. besides the pain of getting there, it was a fun couple of days. i've never seen so much snow in my life and it was freezing all the time, but it's a really cute city, all european looking. shopped a bit, went snow tubing, did some sightseeing, saw memoirs of a geisha, tried to practice my french but failed because of those odd french canadian accents. seriously, even the people speaking french added "eh?" to the end of their sentences. quite entertaining.
we went from canada back to nj for new year's eve. our family friends had a big party at their house which was a good time. liquor still disgusted me at that point so i just had a bit of champagne, but there was plenty of dancing and yum food. all you need is some good arabic music. i received some interesting calls, including one from a wasted andy chang who spoke in this weird accent and talked for about 5 minutes about nothing at all.
got back home today and i'm looking forward to my two weeks of not doing much.
lots of pictures on fotki shortly
bye lovers
