if i had gotten approved for an Apple I would NEVER of bought the dell I just bought...
Nothing can compare. With Apple the chances of virus' are virtually near impossible. As we all know, Dells catch EVERY virus known to man. Although I like my laptop, if given a choice, I'd go with the Apple for sure.
On the other hand, hope you like itunes cause its a little more difficult to download music on an Apple computer.

I'm going to get a computer loan with my bank... in the end it ends up being about $200 more, but I think it's worth it. It's only like $41 a month for 36 months. I'm not a fan of viruses because usually I just avoid protecting my computer. I'm just going to keep the computer I have now for downloading I think.
whatever it is - buy an extended warranty. some run as much as $400 but if someone drops, drowns, or cracks your shit over the next 4 years... it would be worth it. i just got one in aug. and the hard drive failed (not a usual problem...) and had to get it replaced.
other than that, i'm having good luck and loads of downloading shit with my hp. another suggestion - in the future, you may want to invest in an external hard drive if you're getting into the upper-hundreds/thousands of songs... it's awesome, lets your processor run more quickly when you transfer your files, and you can back shit up on it. those run anywhere from $60-150.
wow ... i just realized that's a lot of post-laptop buying talk.
basically - apples, everyone loves theirs but it may depend on if you have the $$ flexibility hp, a little more expensive than dell but "better" technology so they say ( i like mine) and my computer-junkie uncle says that dells are good as long as you arent running crazy gamer shit on them and you've got an antivirus and spyware/adware protection.
thanks girly, you were very helpful. my computer now is about to crash. I have no space left on it almost... it's scaring me! I'm sure something crazy would happen to my laptop... because I'm not good with taking care of things. Even my ipod is fucked up. I don't know what my problem is, but I'm taking precautions.
