Name: Kenzi

Appearance: Kenzi is your typical goth chick with a pale complexion, too much eyeliner and a very dark wardrobe. She stands at 5'4", constantly wearing heels to make up for her vertically challenged state. She has long, black hair that falls to about mid-back and her eyes are a very light blue.

Abilities: Kenzi has no powers, but she does have a few abilities. She's a skilled pick pocket that can swipe a watch off a man's wrist while holding a casual conversation with him. Her sticky fingers tend to lift things out of habit more than need, and her cons have fooled many. She's also an excellent liar ... to strangers. Her friends can usually tell.
Season 2 sees Kenzi gain some epic battle skills. She is familiar with a variety of medieval weapons, mostly because they're just constantly lying around the house and she gets incredibly bored. She's a pretty good shot and has been seen using a gun (rarely) and more recently a crossbow (that Bo wouldn't let her touch just a little while ago). Her weapon of choices is a katana, but she'll settle for anything she can use to slice and/or hit people with. As far as unarmed combat, we know that she's a scrapper and can easily take on human females at her level. She knows how to throw a punch, but up against someone bigger and stronger than her, she's useless without a weapon.
She's also fluent in Russian.
History: Kenzi left home at a very early age and little is known about her home life. What we do know is that her step-father was abusive and overly strict. He used to lock her in the closet and she was scared of him enough to nearly invoke an ancient fae called Baba Yaga, but she never finished the ritual. She finally gave her mother a choice and her mother chose her step-father. So Kenzi ran away.
She grew up on the streets, occasionally getting help from extended family but mostly surviving off whatever she could get her hands on. She learned to steal, lie, cheat, and charm her way to a decent meal and a safe place to sleep. One night, while she's picking pockets in a hotel bar, she runs into a bit of trouble after one of her targets spikes her drink and follows her to the elevator. Bo, a succubus, sees the whole thing take place and follows the pair. She gets on the elevator and sucks the would-be predator's life force right out of him before scooping up Kenzi and taking her home.
Bo and Kenzi end up talking and Kenzi learns that Bo has no idea who she is or why she can do what she does. Kenzi doesn't seem all that bothered by it. Unknown to them, they were being watched since the incident at the hotel. Bo gets taken by light fae and Kenzi follows, saving her life by stumbling onto some ancient fae ritual. Bo finally learns what she is and Kenzi decides to help her out. They become roommates and even start a private investigation business that caters to fae and humans alike. From there, they go on many adventures and kick a lot of magical butt!
Kenzi comes from the last episode in season 2, right before they encounter the Garuda. Kenzi, along with Bo and Lauren, are exploring an abandoned mental hospital when they get ambushed by the Garuda's berserkers. Bo takes out two of them, but one goes after Lauren. Kenzi expertly shoots him in the back of the head with her crossbow, saving Lauren's life and looking just a little bit shaken after taking a life.
Personality: Kenzi is a fast-talking, street-smart, money-hungry survivor. Hardened from life on the streets, she is one tough little spitfire. She's courageous and speaks her mind whether you want to hear it or not. There is no filter for Kenzi, she's very in your face and almost crude in her mannerisms and language. She's not afraid to pick up a weapon and take on a threat even if she a snowball's chance in hell against them. At times, her bravery gives way to recklessness and her attitude gets her in trouble. Kenzi doesn't care what anyone thinks of her and does whatever the hell she wants.
On the surface, Kenzi can be seen as insensitive, uncaring, and sarcastic, but when she really loves someone, like Bo or Trick, she cares deeply. She is fiercely loyal and has her friends' backs no matter what. She would do anything for someone close to her, even if it means risking her life or doing something really illegal.
Actually, she'd probably do something illegal anyway. Kenzi isn't a big fan of rules or laws or authority. She does what she needs to do to survive and that, more often than not, involves taking somebody's money. Money and security are the two most important things to Kenzi other than Bo. Everything she does is to get money with as little effort as possible on her part. This usually involves preying on some poor sap that falls for her made up sob story and good looks. She is a great liar, even if she hates to be lied to.
Occasionally, she can get jealous of Bo and the attention the succubus gets, but she understands why and is typically used to dealing with it. When everyone's eyes are on Bo, Kenzi can take in a lot more information without people noticing. She sees a lot more than anyone realizes and is always ready to use this information to her advantage. Sometimes it's hard, and she can get a little starved for attention, but she's only raised this concern to Bo once and she usually just rolls with it.
For someone so constantly hyper and energetic, Kenzi is pretty lazy. She doesn't clean, she can barely cook, and she lives on sugary cereal. She is totally okay with living in a pig sty if it means she doesn't have to do the dishes. Only with constant nagging from Bo will she ever do chores. Playing video games is clearly a much better use of her time.
Lastly, she's had a pretty hard life despite her youth and knows a lot of pain. She is really good at hiding it and bouncing back from traumatic events. She can do a pretty good job of keeping her cool in a tense situation and has gotten used to weird and crazy. It's rare that anything freaks her out after meeting Bo and learning about the fae. She rarely ever cries when people are around her and is usually the emotional rock for the people she cares about. She's wise beyond her years and insanely childish and immature at the exact same time. Basically, Kenzi is too damn smart to be predictable.
