The night the power goes out, Ben quickly springs into action. He throws on a light raincoat, and stuffs his satchel with a flashlight, batteries, water, some maps and diagrams, and a first aid kit. He's out the door in less than ten minutes.

Despite the driving rain, flashing lightening, and booming thunder, Ben hurries across the barracks and bangs on James' door.
