ONTD Games Dojo - Challenge #2!!
Welcome back to the Dojo and Challenge #2! Interactive media conventions have become a integral part of gaming culture. In an industry that traces its roots back beyond the introduction of the Nintendo's NES 001 at 1983's summer CES show, games are now demonstrated and presented in a wide range of events across the country.
Although nothing has been set in stone yet, we're considering ways to coordinate with the new community owner to get him or her out to a couple events. My question to our candidates: Hypothetically speaking, as the Master Chief of ONTD Games, which events (gaming or otherwise) would you like to see ONTD Games attending and what would ONTD Games do at these events?
Submissions are accepted in any format you like, be it text, gifs, or video. ONTD Games is your clay to shape! :-) Links to event websites are welcome as well!
Heads-up! Challenge #3 will go live this Friday. Challenge #4 will go live early next week. Hint: Both challenges will involve multimedia. So dust off those .gif creating and video editing programs. :-)
Challenge #5 (Which could be the last challenge) will go live next Friday, the 6th of January 2012. Challenge #5 will be an open forum. Members of the community are invited to lob questions at the candidates.
Review Time: Here's a quick reminder regarding the way of the ONTD Games Dojo Challenges:
- A few challenges will pop over the next few weeks. Nothing crazy, just questions to gauge nominee interest in gaming and a desire to run the community.
- A few days will pass between each new challenge so there's no pressure to post a response right away.
- We'll go back and look over all the responses to each challenge at the end so feel free to go back and answer an older challenge after a new one has been posted.
- We'll give notice after the last challenge goes live, announcing a finalist selection date and polling dates.
- A final poll will be put to the community before the final selection is made. This poll will not be the deciding factor in the selection process but it will play a part in the judges' decision making process.
