I'd really love to be the owner of ontdgames because gaming has been a passion of mine since I can recall, I love discussing games and I've been a member of ONTD long enough (since 2007?) to have the ~sassy jackal ontd ways down pat ;P
If you combine all of those, ontdgames is quite a perfect place for me! I also think it would be a great way for me to get introduced to the gaming industry, journalism is my minor and I'd love to specifically go into gaming journalism. If we do get to participate in media related things via this community (such as E3) it would be a solid start to establishing my hopeful career. On top of that, my major is web site design so I would love to bring some ideas to the web design team for the template of this site and keep it fresh, relevant and of course nerd/geek chic ;)
As for what I would like to see happen here, I mentioned in the tag submission post that I think it would be an awesome idea to have someone for each major platform as a go-to kind of mod person. One for PC, one for 360/MS, one for Sony/PS3 and Nintendo/Wii/Wii U/3DS. This would require a system of communication for the multiple mods making this community that much stronger and much more knowledgeable.
I also think it would be awesome for this site to gain such notoriety as ONTD has with the topic being gaming instead of celebrities. As aforementioned, I too think the community on ONTD is its best attribute and to have that coupled with gaming news is going to be amazing. Establishing a solid niche in the gaming world for ontdgames would definitely be a goal for me.
I also think it would be cool to have our own guilds/clans in MMOs for the people who play them, like in SWTOR and WoW. A common place for ONTD's kind in the gaming world! We could even be like JINX! and have our own website/forums and everything if the people are dedicated enough to the idea and game itself.
I think giveaways each month or once a gaming quarter would be really awesome too :D possible meetups/lan partys! omg the possibilities are endless, really! On top of all of this, I have a lot of free time even though I'm in university; I'm a communications student and to be quite honest, we don't do too much homework or anything of the like :)
