Gamers not only invest hefty amounts in buying the incredible games but also invest a lot of their precious time in playing those too. Innumerable games are available in the market; some game enthusiasts love playing the new ones and some loves collecting the old and rare games. And, for those gamers who love to play and collect the special-editions of the games, Capcom has announced the Resident Evil 6 Premium Edition, bundled with the replica of protagonist Leon’s coat is out now at the hefty price tag of $1,300.
Described as one of the most expensive special-edition video game, the Resident Evil 6 Premium Edition is currently limited to sale in Japan only. Being kind enough, the game maker, Capcom will also provide four 'tablet case covers' along with the game and Leon’s leather jacket in the Premium Edition game. However, these case covers aren’t meant to put any tablet in for protection purpose but are meant to be covers for the series’ herb items, which are tablets in Resident Evil 6. Available in limited quantities, the Resident Evil 6 Premium Edition game along with Leon’s jacket in Small, Medium, Large, or X-Large sizes is available on pre-order through e-Capcom, Capcom’s own online store. And, gamers who’ll buy the standard version of the game from e-Capcom, they will get a bonus of one tablet case cover. The Resident Evil 6 and its Japanese Special Leathery Edition will be released on 2nd October 2012.
Other games that come in the category of being most expensive video games include the Air Raid for the Atari 2600 and the rare NWC Gold.
Tanner Sandlin of Austin, Texas sold the Air raid for the Atari 2600 at e-Bay for $31,000, the second-highest price ever paid for a video game. Sandlin actually read the story on CNN.com about rare video games, and recognized one of the games, Air raid for the Atari 2600, which he found in his garage.
Another game, a rare Nintendo World Championship gold cartridge gold sold on eBay for $17,500, with an asking price of 25,000. Only 26 pieces of the NWC Gold were ever got made, and the game is not made with gold bit is gold-painted.
