On Saturday 19 January, after five seasons and 100 episodes, much loved sci-fi drama FRINGE will reach its conclusion and Sky customers will be able to watch the series finale in line with the US broadcast.
Created by JJ Abrams, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, the writing team behind hit reboot Star Trek, and starring Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson and John Noble, FRINGE has grown into a cult hit after five years on screen.
Season 5 saw the seemingly peaceful Observers seize control of the universe, only in the future to become ruthless rulers with an unstoppable agenda for destruction. Now the Fringe Team must make their final stand, bringing together all that they have witnessed in preparation for their struggle to save the world.
The thrilling finale, entitled An Enemy of Fate, will air as a special two hour episode, the latter hour counting as the show’s monumental 100th episode. Will Olivia (Torv), Peter (Jackson) and Walter (Noble) win the war?
Executive producer J.H. Wyman said: “It’s definitely the biggest season finale we’ve ever had. It’s the most expensive…. It’s massive, really big. I wanted to go out like, ‘Wow, how did they do that?’”
The series finale of FRINGE will air on Saturday 19 January at 1.10am as a simulcast with the US East Coast broadcast. It will also air in the show’s regular slot on Wednesday 23 January at 10pm.
