I really like to combine my love of scary movies with true crime. It seems like most scary movies have a basis in fact albeit the truth has been stretched. This weekend I watched The Strangers, and had read where it was supposedly based on a true story, more than likely the 1981 Keddie Resort murders.
Basically the Keddie Resort murders was a quadruple homicide involving a mom, her two kids, and one of the kids' friends. The other daughter had been spending the night at a friend's and came home to find them bound, gagged, beaten and stabbed to death. It still hasn't been solved.
