Hi all! This is my “favorite” true crime story, so I had to begin with it.

My reaction to that story:



That's some fucked up soap-opera-esque shit right there.

Anyway, the most interesting true crime book I've ever read was probably Helter Skelter.

ETA: I also think the Zodiac case itself is fascinating, but the Robert Graysmith book about it apparently has its problems so Idk about the book's merits.

Helter Skelter is so good, but so upsetting.

Upsetting? Yes. Well written enough to be comprehensive but not boring? Also yes.
