I LOVE the Weekly World News! When I was a teenager, my walls were a massive crazy-person collage of articles I'd cut out from it.

One of my favorites was from the WWN "kid's section". A girl found an animal in her pond that was a cross between a fox and a duck. You can imagine what she named it.

I bought The Weekly World News and The Sun for a whole year, and made a scrapbook out of the craziest stories for my sister as a birthday present. They were a huge, huge hit and were actually circulated all around the town she lives in for people to read.

I miss TWWN as well, it was always good for a laugh.

I always remembered reading the headlines in the grocery-store checkout line. The only one I ever bought though, was one with an article talking about how they found someone alive in the wreckage of the Titanic. Or something like that. I'm fairly certain I knew it wasn't real, but I remember being fascinated just the same.
