OMG!! When I was little and even before I was born my parents had that same painting you had but in the living room.
I've only seen it in photos while it was hanging there, because they took it down when I was a baby or very little since I don't remember it when it was hanging on the wall.
We still have it around. We were cleaning recently and I had to move it to my mother's room (where is on the floor, facing the wall lol), I didn't even want to touch it, but I did :P

I asked my mother several times... why the f*** did you have a painting of a little boy crying in the living room?!?!

ETA: Weird part? Now that I look at it, the boy looks like my oldest brother when he was little D:
