These people (like, everyone in the house) really should be more careful about what they say. Sometimes they sound like idiots who don't know anything about the world outside of the US.

So either they think she's "bragging" in some weird, backwards way, (which, wtf: why?) or they think they know more about her country than she does.

Either way, that's really just so fucked up. I realize that they run out of conversation topics after a while, but seriously: shut the fuck up and sweep the floor or name the ants or something.
