At least now I know the difference between George Kirk and Jim Kirk. The first time I saw the movie, I didn't know who Chris Pine was and I thought that was him. D'oh!! LOL

Yeah, they did a good job casting that part. They definitely look like they could really be related.

Seconding the "they could really be related", too.

I did the same, only much, much stupider. Until they started talking baby names, I was all, "Oh my god, are they going to kill Captain Kirk?! Why would you do that in the first ten minutes?"

Apparently I don't understand that, sometimes, fictional characters have family members and tragic backstories.
