Star Trek Continues
Last night Star Trek Continues premiered at Phoenix Comicon and then uploaded to the internet for Trek fans everywhere. The premise is simple, it picks up where TOS left off.
The fan series stars a few notable names including Vic Mignogna as Captain Kirk, Grant Imahara as Lt. Sulu, and Chris Doohan as Scotty.
I actually watched the first episode this morning and I have to admit, I was impressed. Ignoring the lack of likeness to the original actors, the series captures the aesthetic and feel of TOS wonderfully. Also the digital effects are really legit for a fan series. If you have some time, I definitely suggest a watch.
If you need a bit of teaser, they released 3 short vignettes before making the first episode.

The first full length episode is titled [Pilgrim Of Eternity] and is a 'sequel' to the TOS episode "Who Mourns for Adonais."
