tbh I think Uhura looks a tad ridiculous trying to be badass while wearing an extra long t-shirt. I hope she isn't stuck in that mini dress the entire movie or she gets a pair of leggings for her uniform or something, idk.

I mean, she doesn't even have a utility belt like Spock does. How is she suppose to get stuff done? Where did she hold that phaser? Hopefully she's not running off and disobeying orders again like in that one comic book. :[
and yeah, I would really like to see her get a combat uniform or something other than that dress.

Yeah, how do they tell rank on the female uniform? I don't see any badge clips on the neckline. and I am sure they have some of those jump suits from the first movie for the female form. Somewhere.

I think it's kind of appalling that they took the sexist costumes from the '60s and made it even skimpier. Ugh, progress?

If you watch the original TOS pilot, the women wore pants. It was NBC that forced the skimpy miniskirts. Wouldn't be surprised if the studio once again insisted on these costumes, proving that fifty years later, Hollywood still only cares about women as a hot piece of ass and not as characters.
