Alright, bbs. If I remember correctly, some time last month someone talked about making your iPad/iPhone into the LCARS interface. (I did, by the way.)

So I thought I would return the favor with....

AN LCARS DOCK!!!!!!

Geektool, it inputs information directly onto your desktop. The Recently played list is an RSS feed of my last.fm recently played stats.

All the tutorials I have found show a System Preferences that looks so much different then my own (which is up to date). I can't figure this stuff out. It won't take any of my commands. Have you figured it out?

Apparently it's GeekTool 3, so look at the tutorials for that instead!

I managed to get everything else to work, but haven't managed to find a last.fm script that works. Which script did you use for your recently played music?

lynx -dump http://ws.audioscrobbler.com/1.0/user/yourusername/recenttracks.txt | awk '/,/{print substr($0,12,100)};'

You have to get Lynx for that to work. http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/unix_open_source/lynxtextwebbrowser.html
