Art on Ice 2011

Music with goose bumps

Donna Summer and Katherine Jenkins: The icon of pop music and the No. 1 of classical crossover (yeah idk what that means), plus other outstanding singers, the 30-member Christoph Walter Orchestra and a 40-member choir. A fireworks display at its best!

(And here I cut some bs about the choirs etc because let's face it, we don't care. But in case you do, I can add the rest.)

The pairs skating gold medal winners Shen & Zhao

The line-up for Art on Ice 2011 reads like a who's who of figure skating. The stars of Art on Ice are Shizuka Arakawa, Joannie Rochette, Sarah Meier, audience favorite Stephane Lambiel, Evgeni Plushenko and Jeffrey Buttle, Isabelle Delobel & Olivier Schoenfelder, Aliona Savchenko and Robin Szolkowy. And - last but not least - the cast of Figure Skating Pairs is almost grandiose: From China come the current Olympic champions and three-time world champions Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo. Oliver Hoener, the inventor, owner and artistic director of Art on Ice: "So many stars in the same ice rink, you usually only see that at the Olympics."

Art on Ice - is just different

Art on Ice 2010 enchanted 70,000 visitors in six sold-out shows in Hallenstadion in Zurich . Why? Because Art on Ice is much more than a figure skating gala and more than a concert. Art on Ice surprises every year, shows a simply unique interplay with the best figure skaters of the world and music and dance stars. Art on Ice is just different. Look forward to the seemingly impossible ...
