Alexei Yagudin: "We somehow emulate Hollywood"
In October, the premiere performance of the ice Ilia Averbukh, "City Lights", which will be attended by Russian champions in figure skating. Shortly before the premiere, Alexei, told Tata.ru about his unusual role in this production, about his new genre of children's dreams and future plans.
- Alexei, you will participate in the ice performance "City Lights". As I understand it's an entirely new genre. What is its novelty?
- Novelty, firstly, that such projects did not exist in Russia. I have something to compare - when I lived in America, is also thought to create a similar format, combining skating with some other genres. It is really a new project, because there is just figure skating, there is - a drama theater, a circus, there is everything, anything, everything exists in isolation, but in the "Lights Big City" all of these genres are mixed. It is unique, and this requires, of course, a colossal work. And I can see how seriously approached Elijah to prepare the play in the extent of this can be compared only with the launch of the first "Ice Age" (2006), when before it did not have anything like that. For the play written by a script, each scene in great detail worked out, created the music, built scenery ... For us, the skaters, it is also a new experience. Despite the fact that many of us have extensive experience of acting in TV projects, and Tikhonov, Alexei and I have played in the dramatic works, participate in "Lights ..." is a new challenge, this is like a silent movie theater or where you should be expressive so that the viewer understand not only the content of the scene, but the meaning which bears all the ice show. And I think that this is again a new step in the world of ice productions. And, of course, we - the skaters - gladly agreed to participate in the new project of Ilya.
- What role will you play in this performance?
- My character name is Tommy. Or, as it is called, "Mr. Luck". I believe that the role of such a man I'm very fit. A man for whom all life - is a game. He is also a drama, emotions, but at the same time, he takes life easy and relaxed, with a great sense of humor. He's very excitable, but it is supportive of what is happening. For story between my character and the girl Madeleine, played by Tatiana Navka, there is intrigue, which, of course, before the premiere, I can not tell. Only open a little secret: in one scene I have to fight for the girl with the very Marat Basharov who plays chaplinovskogo tramp.

Shows, tours and demonstrations of performance - is another. You do not have these judges, and you do not have to comply with strict rules of the competition. The most important thing for you - it's your audience, the entire hall. And this, of course, a little more complicated than what they want to see a judge. With regard to the psychological mood, of course, competition is much harder to show - it is rather a holiday, the work a pleasure. Therefore it is better being part of something big. And when I maturation and understand that I want to create their own, and when I have time for this, then maybe I will build my project. But at the moment I am very busy - rehearsals, filming and appearances at some venues take a lot of ice time.
- In November 2009, you have a daughter, Elizabeth. With the advent of the child appeared some rethinking of life?
- With regard to life, with the advent of daughters, I realized one thing - everything that happened in my life before - such a small piece of what I have going on now, because it is much more important and more responsible than what happened before.
- As a child, everything about something dream. Today you still have dreams that have not yet been realized?
- When a person does not remain the goal, then why did this person live? Of course, the dreams I have a very big plans for the future. Want a lot of things to try. - What qualities do you most value in people and why?
- I believe that loyalty - this is important. Sense of humor - in second place. I have very often in life cheated and did not want to, it was a lot.
