SOURCE BEFORE WE MOVE ON, I'D LIKE TO POINT OUT A FEW THINGS;
A) YOU'LL SEE THAT THIS ARTICLE CONTRADICTS THE ARTICLE POSTED BELOW, WHEN IT COMES TO THE NATURE OF THEIR BREAK-UP. IT IS NOT SURPRISING SINCE THE NEWS IS RELEASED TO THE PRESS TODAY, AND KOREAN ARTICLES CAN BE A BIT MISLEADING IN TERMS OF FIGURE SKATING (AS YOU SLORES ALL KNOW, NON-FS-DEDICATED MEDIA = POTENTIAL FAIL) I DON'T KNOW WHICH ARTICLE GIVES A BETTER PICTURE, AND I'LL NOT CLAIM THAT I KNOW ENOUGH TO ASSESS THE SITUATION. I PREDICT THERE WOULD BE A LOT OF POTENTIAL WANK, NOT ON _SKATING BUT IN FS FANDOM, OVER THIS.
B) I ACTUALLY SHOULDN'T BE SPENDING TIME ON THIS SO THE TRANSLATION IS QUITE ROUGH.
C) NOOOOOOO MIN-JUNG LEFT ORSER TOO ;_;
AllThatSports (ATS), the management company of "the Skating Queen" Yu-Na Lee, has confirmed the breakup between the skater and her coach, Brian Orser.
According to ATS's press release, "(...)through phone conversation from Canada, (we have been able to find out that) relationship between Orser and Yu-Na has been uncomfortable since May, when there was a rumour that another skater has contacted Orser for a coaching job, and because of this Yu-Na has been training by herself since June."
"Another skater" means Japan's Mao Asada, who has contacted Orser for a coaching job. ATS added that Yu-Na's team "has proposed to Orser to have 'a break', which Orser agreed, so she has been training by herself, and with her choreographer, David Wilson, when she needed to practice her program." They explained that this break-up is not an unilateral notice from Yu-Na, but "Yu-Na has been training by herself without trouble, but we have received a final notification from Orser on the 23rd that he will not continue as Yu-Na's coach, and we accepted his decision."
Yu-Na has announced through ATS that she is "grateful to coach Brian Orser for staying besides me through my great goal of OGM. I hope he will coach other great athletes and achieve good results."
After this breakup, Yu-Na will stay in the Cricket Club, Toronto, until her new program is completed, and she will consider future career and next coach afterwards.
Also, Min-Jung Kwak is not being coached by Orser anymore, she will stop her training in Toronto and will return to Korea soon.
....OK MY TRANSLATION SUCKS IDK WHETHER IT'S MY KOREAN OR MY ENGLISH WHICH FAILS...
...PROBABLY MY BRAIN, FULL STOP.
