I think the article sort of takes things out of context. When he speaks about his wife, he looks very smitten. And in a letter that was read aloud in the studio Nobunari's wife called him "Odarin" (Odarling ;) ) and said that she believes there's no obstacle they can't overcome together.
Sucks about money, but: 1) Nobu probably just bought a house, which ate up his savings (some time ago there was an interview where Nobu was asked what he does with his winnings, and he replied that he saves them on a special account) 2) He decided to return to University to complete a degree, which means more additional expenses and less time to do shows. Hopefully things'll get better once Nobunari completes his education. :)
