Japanese superstar Daisuke Takahashi will grace the cover of the August issue of International Figure Skating (IFS) magazine. The reigning World champion and Olympic bronze medalist spoke exclusively to IFS about his comeback from a knee injury that sidelined him for an entire season and what winning the first World title in the men’s event for his nation meant to him.
“Daisuke’s victory was a big step forward for Japanese men’s skating,” said 2002 World bronze medalist, Takeshi Honda who is Takahashi’s jumping coach.
The August issue also includes an interview with Canada’s newly minted Olympic ice dance champions, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, who talk about life after Vancouver and their future plans.
IFS will hit the newsstands July 13.
