I want to know what happened to the blue version she wore at the GP events?

She wore it to the team compeition (aka MERYL AND CHARLIE WIN BRONZE FOR TEAM AMERICA event)

Apparently she wanted a different color to stand out from the GP events but homegirl should have chosen a better shade of purple

Last summer I actually dreamed about DW winning Olympic gold wearing purple costumes (I am not making that up!), so the purple costumes were fine with me. I saw Meryl's dress in person at Nationals, and that's a gorgeous color--kind of an orchid lavender. It looked amazing on her. I like the neckline of that dress better than the teal one, which I found kind of cumbersome.

It's not the color I object to, it's the ridiculous cut that takes her beautiful body and makes her look like stick legs with a dish towel hanging over them. I hope going forward she will think about contacting a real designer instead of the local person she's been using.
