Chairman Mao prepares to take over the world one apple product at a time, perhaps unintentionally
Recently, I happened upon something related to figure skating that I realized had not yet been mentioned in the _s community so I thought that now would be a good opportunity to share it and to make my first post to _s.
Chairman Mao invites you in.
I was browsing the apple app store when I came across the app Battle Skating. It’s a game featuring our very own Chairman Mao.
As a Mao-stan, I was particularly thrilled to find a game like this devoted solely to Mao and available in the Western world. The game play itself is very simple and the music has nothing to do with her Bells of Moscow program (my favorite) though her costume implies it does. It's kinda dorky, but also kinda cute.
Game play is divided into two modes, the sp and fp modes.
In the both modes, you perform three actions based on how you flick the screen.
- Triple Axel - the animation is not true to the jump
- Biellman spin
- Ina Bauer
In sp mode, you perform the actions shown, sort of like a skating DDR.
In fp mode, you perform one of the three actions to knock-out/dodge obstacles like flowers, puddles, mean skaters, mean judges (you get to destroy them-MWAHAHAHA)
(Mean Judges are knocked away with a biellman)
It’s also free, so you should check it out if you have an ipad, iphone, or itouch, all to show support for Mao-chan of course. It may hold your attention for a total of thirty minutes, but I thought I’d share the Maosus love anyways and share this game with all those out there waiting for a real figure skating battle game to come out.
