Okay, so a bunch of friends and _skaters went to TEB a week ago. We had so much fun, we voodooed, cheered, shouted, danced and camerawhored like bosses.
But my friend Silvia (
here's her blog, click click click) had the best idea ever. We (the Orange Team) had already helped her interviewing some skaters online before... maybe you remember our
Adam Rippon's interview (Morozov=old, 4-3toe and his haircut, etc) that will be forever a part of _skating tags lol.
So she (inspired by another journalist) thought that maybe we could make a kind of interview-game with the skaters attending to TEB.
It was very simple, we made 6 red cards, 6 yellow cards and 6 green cards. Each one had a base value: 5 points for the reds, 3 points for the yellows and just 1 for the green ones. Of course the red questions are harder than the green ones.
We proposed the skaters to pick the 6 cards they wanted, and this is what happened...
Thanks to
bananarama for recording the vids,
katiz for her help with the translations and
kira_99 for the subtitles.
Also
westwinter took breathtaking pics of the skaters but that will be another post ;)

So, after getting the TEAM ESPAÑA we caught the skaters leaving the arena from the gala practice. The first one was Luca Lanotte. We had told Anna Cappellini about the game the night before and after asking us if they were Trivial questions, she agreed, but Luca didn't know about it, so we explained to him the whole thing and after some help from Adria Diaz (telling him "do it Luca, do it!!!") he said that he'd wait for Anna so both of them would reply:

Leaving Italy, we landed in the Curly States of America. After spending some minutes with Adam taking pictures and giving him some presents, we asked him to do the game and he needed 0.1 seconds to say "of course". I felt a little bit sorry for him because he had already spent a lot of time with us so I told him "it's only 2 minutes, Adam" and he replied "awww, don't worry, I'm not in a rush". And he clearly wasn't, giving us the longest interview :)

The next one was the French Mae-Berenice Meite, who is seriously gorgeous. She read the questions in Spanish and replied them in English because she's a fucking Goddess.

While we were interviewing Mae, I saw that 2 of my friends were talking to Tessa and Scott, and Scott was making our dance (see the gif opening this post) and telling us that we were fantastic choreographers (lol rly Scott?). We didn't know why the hell he knew the dance, but it's okay. Scott showed us his most competitive side when seeing that Mae was replying all the reds said "we're gonna kick her butt" lol.
Tessa wanted to pick some yellows and Scott was like "Are you crazy? we have to win this!" picking all the reds. After that, they asked us if we could switch positions because the sun was really disturbing them.

Thanks to having made the interview to Voir, it was easier to get Pchan. With a "Scott got 30 points" we convinced him, his face changed and said "If Scott can, I can!"

The next ones were Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford who came to us after giving an interview to Absolute Skating. They were really funny:

After talking to Amanda Evora (who is the cutest) she agreed to do the game with her huge sunglasses :3

And the last one was Mark Ladwig, who appeared with his huge book like "hmmm I've heard you're doing ~something... and I want to do it!". After asking us if the game followed the strip-poker rules he answered them. It was hilarious having Meagan and Eric interrupting him the whole time :D

Aaaaand... that's all we got in that sunny Sunday morning. The previous day we had told Jermajesty about the game, and he was like "OMG I really want to do that". We didn't see him on the game morning, and when he tweeted us we had already left. The next day we found this on our facebook group:
HOW IS HE EVEN REAL? I MEAN, HOW? ♥ so if everything goes well, and he has time, soon we'll have a similar Skype interview with the one and only Jeremy Abbott :)
BTW The final ranking looks like this:
1- Sonia Lafuente 30
